Researcher's
Guide to the USRDS Database
This Guide is the basic reference for researchers who use
USRDS data files. It provides a detailed description of the USRDS
database and of the USRDS Standard Analysis Files.
Standard
Analysis Files [pdf]
These data files provide patient-specific data from the USRDS database
to support ESRD research, at an affordable price. User must sign
a data release agreement with NIH. More information is provided
in this chapter and in the Researcher's Guide. Click
here for prices.
CPM DATA
CPM is a project developed to collect information on the quality of care provided to the ESRD dialysis patient. The data originates from surveys completed by the patients' primary care facilities, which have been collected on a yearly basis, resulting in a rich source of detailed information useful in the analysis of health care delivery to the dialysis patient.

DISEASE-BASED COHORT (5% DM/CKD/CHF COHORT FINDER FILES)
With the
growing concern of various chronic diseases affecting the ESRD
patients, the USRDS has constructed a set of disease-based finder
files for researchers to gain better understanding of causes and
effects of these illnesses; as well as their associations to the
morbidity and mortality in patients with ESRD. Click
here for prices.
Custom
Data Files
For research needs not met by the Standard Analysis Files. Researcher
pays costs of production and must sign a data release agreement.
Papers,
abstracts, and publications
Most USRDS research studies result in published papers or presentations
at professional meetings.
